Foreign women themselves designing women
Globally, only We in the IDE Program firmly support female students from the least developed countries to advance their studies and career in industrial design engineering. To celebrate the International Women in Engineering Day , we invited two female students, Malambo Lushomo from Zambia and Tebello Pusetso from Lesotho , who are in the first cohort of the IDE Program to share the stories of their engineering educational journey. Malambo : Growing up, I always knew I wanted to be some sort of designer or engineer.

Designing Women is an American television sitcom created by Linda Bloodworth-Thomason that aired on CBS from September 29, , to May 24, , producing seven seasons and episodes. In the third season, Meshach Taylor was given a starring role for his previously recurring character of delivery man and later partner Anthony Bouvier. Later in its run, the series gained notoriety for its well-publicized behind-the-scenes conflicts and cast changes. Julia Duffy and Jan Hooks replaced Burke and Smart for season six, but Duffy was not brought back for the seventh and final season, and she was replaced by Judith Ivey.

We live in an age of ever-present television reboots and revivals, so when it was announced that Sony Pictures Television was working on developing a TV sequel to the hit comedy Designing Women , few were heavily surprised. Fans thankfully don't have to worry about a completely new creative team taking over, either. The deal, which THR reported has been in the works for months, will see Sony reteaming with series creator Linda Bloodworth Thomason and executive producer Harry Thomason.
The program is a unique occasion to learn what is not taught: self-confidence and to dare for your career destiny. The participants are selected from various business, engineering, art and fashion schools spanning across almost 58 different countries such as France, China, Nigeria, Kenya, Costa Rica, Brazil, Iran and Bangladesh just to name a few. The Mentees will be guided by their Dior Mentors as they take their first steps in their careers and whilst they build their professional experience.
